“What should the artwork be like?"

Our work is an attempt to create a democratic art piece. The project
starts with gathering information, regarding what the hypothetical art piece
should be like. The visitors get to contribute to the final outcome with their
personal input. The collected information will be used as a recipe for the
creation of the art piece. The second phase of the project is the realization
of the art piece in the most objective way possible. We invite You to become a
coauthor by contributing with an attribute to the physical and conceptual
features of the artwork. In our work we examine the outcome of this democratic
vote, furthermore this social experiment, conducted in several cultural groups,
may shed light on exciting differences in the collective consciousness of these
people.”

Munkánk kísérlettétel egy demokratikus
műalkotás
elkészítésére. A projekt információgyűjtéssel kezdődik a mű milyenségére vonatkozóan. A látogató választ adhat arra a kérdésre hogy ”Milyen legyen a műalkotás?”. A megvalósulandó
művek
egy-egy helyszín gyűjtéseinek
összefoglalásaként születnek. Kérem váljon társalkotóvá és egy jelzővel járuljon
hozzá a műalkotás
fizikai formájához és szellemi tartalmához. A projekt második fázisa a mű lehető legobjektívebb
megvalósítása a gyűjtött
adatok alapján. A különböző kulturális körökben született műalkotások összehasonlítása izgalmas demográfiai jellegzetességekre,
társadalmi különbségekre, a vizuális kultúra sokszínűségére és a
képzőművészeti nyelv
helyspecifikusságára vagy éppen globalizálódására mutathat rá.”
